Nvidia's g-sync and AMD's FreeSync are no strangers to each other. They were created to solve the problem of image tearing, which is a major target audience for e-sports players. Now that mobile gaming has become a trend, qualcomm has come up with a technology called Q-Sync.

Unlike vsync, nvidia's g-sync and AMD's FreeSync, which combine software and hardware to prevent image tearing, don't add pressure to the graphics card, so they don't cause picture delays. However, it requires hardware support, so there will be monitors that support g-sync /FreeSync and monitors that don't.

Qualcomm's Q-Sync technology is officially described as "a dynamic game frame rate/refresh rate adjustment solution that ensures a smoother visual experience.Q-sync automatically adjusts the refresh rate of the display to match the GPU rate, so there's almost no glitch or lag."It also requires screen support. "when you play on a display that supports Q-Sync, the refresh rate of the display stays in line with the frame rate rendered by the GPU, so you can enjoy a smooth, clutter-free display experience," said gao.

Of course, mobile displays aren't sold separately, so Q-Sync will be used later as an authentication feature for the phone, starting with the main gaming phone.
