Samsung has officially announced the launch of the 108 megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor.Samsung said the sensor, developed in collaboration with xiaomi, brings innovation to mobile cameras.ISOCELL Bright HMX is the industry's first mobile image sensor to exceed 100 million pixels, xing said.With the new sensor, samsung expanded its 0.8 micron image sensor from 64 million to 108 million pixels, which already has the resolution of a high-end digital SLR.
According to samsung, ISOCELL Bright HMX is unique and is the product of a close collaboration between samsung and xiaomi.
It is understood that ISOCELL Bright HMX has more than 100 million pixels, is also the first big size using the 1.33 -inch photosensitive area mobile image sensor, can under low light conditions than other small sensors to absorb more light, at the same time through the joining together of four pixels merging technology (Tetracell), to achieve more Bright 27 million pixels.

Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX will go into production later this month.
