Flex Power Modules is now geared towards the industrial and railway sectors by introducing the pke-a series dc-dc Power Modules, thereby expanding its product range to meet the growing needs of these industries. The module is sealed and encapsulated to ensure reliable operation under dust, moisture, severe vibration and other harsh conditions.
For industrial applications, the PKE8000A series offers high reliability, high performance, and rugged dc-dc solutions in an industry-standard 2 x 1in form size. With an ultra-wide input range of 9 to 75V (8:1), it can operate at 12V, 24V or 48V supply voltage. The series delivers up to 40 watts of output with efficiencies of up to 91 percent, as well as up to 4 million hours of mean time to failure (MTBF) and 2,250 VDC input-to-output isolation. These devices comply with the latest IEC/EN/ ul62368-1 safety standards.
For rail applications, the PKE7000A series USES the same 2 x 1in industry standard package, but this time USES 43-160v input with an output power of up to 30W.Therefore, it is suitable for most onboard requirements of 72V and/or 110V nominal power sources, which are most common in the railway industry. The device meets EN50155 railway standards and has a MTBF of up to 5 million hours to meet the most demanding application requirements.
"The pke-a series is one of A variety of new products we are launching to support industrial and rail applications, and is A key component of our previously announced efforts to reach these important segments," commented Olle Hellgren, director of product management and business development for the Flex power module.
PKE8000A and PKE7000A series can now meet the sample and mass production needs.
